Waze, world’s largest community-based traffic and navigation app announced a new partnership with Universal Pictures to introduce a celebrity voice navigation feature.
Waze, offers voice-guided GPS navigation gleaned from users who share real-time traffic information, now gives users the option to replace the generic voice with a celebrity’s. Comedian Kevin Hart will be the first to voice turn-by-turn directions in the app.
To ride along with Kevin, user should simply update the Waze app on their mobile phone, then go to Settings > Sound and select “English – Ride Along” as their voice language. The next time they need to get to their destination, Kevin will serve as their trusted co-pilot.
“In Ride Along, Kevin plays a guy who uses his quick wit to navigate out of difficult situations,” said Doug Neil, Executive Vice President, Digital Marketing, Universal Pictures.
Waze is one of the world’s largest driving communities with millions of drivers globally. Google acquired Waze in June 2013; the application had 50 million users and has continued to grow since.
Waze is free, and available in more than 30 languages and nearly 200 countries on both iOS and Android.
