Spanish Language Version of Global Mapper Now Available

Hallowell, Maine – June 19, 2017 – Blue Marble Geographics (www.bluemarblegeo.com) is pleased to announce that a Spanish language version of Global Mapper is now available. Developed in partnership with the company’s certified product distributor for Latin America, Engesat International S.A., the Spanish language version provides access to this renowned GIS software in the world’s second-most spoken native language. Along with the original English language version, Global Mapper is now available in French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Polish, Spanish, and Turkish.

Blue Marble’s GIS software is used by hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers throughout the world who need affordable, user-friendly, yet powerful GIS solutions. Users come from a wide range of industries including software, oil and gas, mining, civil engineering, surveying, and technology companies, as well as government departments and academic institutions.

For almost twenty years, Global Mapper has established a well-earned reputation as a low-cost but fully-functional alternative to traditional GIS applications. Over the years, the software’s evolution has followed an aggressive and ambitious development path with each successive version introducing a broad array of new features and functions. With the software now available in multiple languages, GIS professionals throughout the world can make use of the unrivaled data format support, intuitive analysis capability, and powerful LiDAR and 3D processing, while working in their native language.

The process of creating the Spanish language version of Global Mapper involved the meticulous translation and reformatting of all of the software’s menus, windows, and dialog boxes as well as the associated help files and documentation.

“Global Mapper has a rapidly expanding worldwide following,” stated Blue Marble’s President, Patrick Cunningham. “While many non-English speakers have learned to adapt their GIS operations to work in English, there is no substitute for native language support. For our customers in the Spanish-speaking world, we are delighted that we can now offer a version of Global Mapper that will allow them to get the most out of the software.”
