In recent news, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram said his ministry is planning to information technology to closely monitor various tribal welfare plans and projects for development of tribal areas.
Oram said the Tribal Map of India will be prepared utilising the technology of Geographical Information System (GIS). This will help the government while implementing different programmes and introducing new schemes and projects for tribal people, he said.
