MUSA Earth Day Lecture: “Remote Sensing and Geospatial Tech for Sustainable Urbanization”
April 22, 2015, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM / Meyerson Hall, Lower Gallery
Penn Institute of Urban Research
Penn IUR and MUSA will host an event for Earth Day on the topic of sustainable urbanization, and how we measure, model and monitor environmental impact and land cover change using new technologies, big data, and geospatial methodologies. The event will address questions about what new and emerging tech is out there, and what do researchers actually need to answer questions about urbanization, population growth, and environmental change, risk and management? This special event will convene expert guests to engage with Penn faculty and graduate students about what is happening in the field. Speakers forthcoming, please stay tuned for more information.
