USAID Learning Lab webinar: Going Geospatial with Impact Evaluations

USAID Learning Lab webinar: Going Geospatial with Impact Evaluations

USAID Global Development LabResearchers at AidData have employed cutting-edge geospatial impact evaluation (GIE) methodologies to create new cost and time efficient ways to measure programmatic impact.

The AidData Center for Development Policy is a collaborative initiative between the College of William & Mary, Brigham Young University, Development Gateway, the University of Texas-Austin, and Esri, that makes targeted, coordinated aid information and tools more accessible and usable to a wide range of stakeholders. AidData is also a Higher Education Solutions Network (HESN) partner with USAID’s Global Development Lab.

On July 15th, USAID will host a webinar where AidData researchers will highlight how this new innovative methodology is being employed to evaluate program interventions. The presentation will include case examples from:

  • USAID: Measuring the effectiveness of a USAID-sponsored land tenure program in Ecuador.
  • KfW (German Development Bank): Measuring forest cover changes resulting from the KfW Indigenous Lands Project, which demarcated indigenous community lands in Brazil’s Amazon region.
  • World Bank: Estimating the treatment effects of a large World Bank-funded effort to combat malaria in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Date/Time: July 15, 2015, 10:00 am – 11:30 am EDT

Fee: free
