USGIF’s purpose is to promote the geospatial intelligence tradecraft and to develop a stronger community of interest between government, industry, academia, professional organizations and individuals who share a mission focused around the development and application of geospatial intelligence to address national security objectives.
The USGIF Awards Program annually recognizes the exceptional work of the geospatial intelligence tradecraft’s brightest minds.
Who Should Apply:
Anyone involved with the geospatial intelligence community may apply as an individual or as a team for an award. You may also nominate someone or a team to highlight the achievements of those within the community and give them not only recognition those who deserve it, but also boosts morale, inspires the community, and increases interest in the field.
2015 USGIF Awards Categories:
- The Geospatial Intelligence Achievement Award recognize outstanding accomplishments in the tradecraft by an individual or team from the military, government and industry sectors.
- The Geospatial Administrative/Support Award recognize outstanding administrative or support accomplishments in the tradecraft by an individual or team from the military, government and industry sectors.
- The Academic Achievement Award commends the achievements of a top graduate of a nationally recognized geospatial intelligence academic program.
- The Academic Research Award commends an organization that demonstrates the top geospatial intelligence program or project.
Those selected for these awards receive free registration to the GEOINT Symposium where their achievements are acknowledged on stage during the general session, in the program guide, on our multiple websites, and in press releases and news articles.
Deadline: Applications due no later than March 27.
